APF encourages and provides opportunities for our staff to pursue continuing education and development. Apart from arranging regular monthly training for therapists, we are also concerned about the development of our other staff members. We joined a programme of The Hong Kong Council of Social Service which is called “Project Star” early this year. This programme is to assist NGOs to enrich our knowledge of organisation governance and development. Their partner LTA & Company has been offering us consultation services since this September. Voluntary consultants, Mr. Timothy Choi and Mr. Deryk Tang have conducted a series of workshop with us. Through these workshops and activities, we are able to understand our organisation more thoroughly, so as to develop an effective communication strategy plan. We have also discussed and explored the potential of the development of APF during the workshops. Thank you Tim and Deryk for their valuable time and professional advices, and joining us to support more underprivileged children with Autism and their families.
