Aoi Pui School Organized "Aoi Pui Fun Fair", Creating a Better Environment for the ASD Students 2015-12-22

Aoi Pui School, the only registered school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) organized the annual "Aoi Pui Fun Fair" on December 11, 2015, aimed to raise funds to improve the environment and facilities of the school through different game stalls and a charity sale. It also served as a great opportunity for the Aoi Pui School to celebrate Christmas with parents, students and teachers, as the event attracted over 100 participants.

ASD Students Make Crafts for Charity

The Fun Fair features a variety of activities, including game booths, handicraft and charity sales and a Santa Claus photo booth. Showcasing and selling hand-printed canvas bags made by Aoi Pui students allow parents to recognize their children's efforts, creativity and communication skills. And with different activities and games at the fun fair, it provides a great opportunity for students to develop their patience and concentration outside the classroom as well as to show their heartfelt thanks to the teachers.

Ms. Kathleen Man, Principal of Aoi Pui School said, "thanks to the support from teachers and students, the annual Aoi Pui Fun Fair was a success and we are grateful to see our students' talent and improvement. It proves that the application of ABA in our teaching methodology is clearly working."

Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy Practice and Development

By using the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) technique the Principal and teachers from the Aoi Pui School will join hands to teach students with autism to enhance their social skills, and will seek the active participation of parents to help ASD kids re-integrate into society.
